After supporting hundreds of hospital births and teaching childbirth education to thousands of women worldwide, I’ve learned that the most joyful, empowering births don’t come from having an “easy” labor—they come from agency.

Moms who thrive in birth walk in grounded, informed, and connected to their own strength. They know their choices, ask questions, trust their intuition, and prepare not just for the birth they hope for, but for the birth they actually experience.

I teach from the frontlines because I believe in the sacred, transformative power of birth. My work helps mothers cut through overwhelm, focus on what matters, trust themselves, and take ownership of their birth experience. Every birth carries a story—and every story deserves to be seen, heard, and honored.

"Every birth carries a story, and every story deserves to be seen, heard, and honored. Whoever you are—your birth matters to me. Thank you for trusting me to walk beside you during one of the most meaningful moments of your life as you bring your tiny human into the world." — Alisa Marie

My Birth Philosophy

“The future of childbirth depends on education that empowers rather than intimidates. Alisa’s work reflects that vision — grounded, thoughtful, and globally minded. She is part of the first cohort of Doula Unbound, a clinically driven, one-of-a-kind doula training program designed to bridge education, physiology, and modern obstetric care. Her willingness to engage in rigorous training from the very beginning speaks to her integrity and leadership. This is how maternal health moves forward — through education rooted in trust, physiology, and respect for women.”

— Dr. Bill Chun, OB-GYN, Founder, Doula Unbound
